i have high hopes

We were lucky enough to watch the inauguration here in Tahiti - some was dubbed over in French with French commentators, but the rest was in English. It was neat to watch. (And I am in LOVE with {this} performance! So beautiful.) (And I liked all of Michelle Obama's wardrobe.) I am excited for this new change and have high hopes for him as President. :)

Lauren,

It always intrigues me to find out why people are so enamored by President and Michelle Obama. When I worked for the McCain/Palin ticket, I knew what I was campaigning for, yet I have yet to find someone who campaigned for Obama who knew why they loved him. What do they mean when they are excited about a "new change?" I am not challenging you, but I would like to better understand the liberal political mind, maybe you can help me? After all I would hope that supporters of President Obama would have an opinion on the socialistic president he has turned out to be. If the change that we want or are excited for means that the government will become 10 times larger and more powerful, in the end becoming socialist I can understand that that is new change, but really what are we celebrating? Please help me out. No Obama supporters seem to know what they mean by change? We have thrown that word around so much, that it really is confusing when people start bragging about change. The only change that I have seen has been negative, but I guess that depends on your point of view. If you like huge government, huge amounts of debt, government control, lack of morality, lack of logic, and bigger bureaucracy than I could perhaps understand. Your opinions are clearly welcomed. By the way, how are you?
