I saw your comment on Seriously, So Blessed and found your blog. Hang in there! My dad worked for the church (overseeing the building of churches and stake centers in French Polynesia) when I was little, and I got to go to 1st and 2nd grades at L'Ecole Mormone, where nobody spoke English. They tore down my school and built the temple there. There was a cool hidden slide that we used to get to the school from the Mission President's house. I got teased b/c I had freckles, and life was rough, but it got a lot better. I grew up to be a French and Spanish teacher:)
Do you know Lindy and Michel Carlson? And the Caves?
Anyway, you can do this, and it will turn out to be a good experience, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Are you learning French?

Classic picture Lauren. I love it.
Okay, that totally captures the essence of being a mission president!
I guess the picture says it all:) They weren't kidding when they said a picture is worth a thousand words!
Great to see my brother working the phone with the outer islands, etc.
Very good photo, Lauren.
